MISSION STATEMENT
Positive Shades of Black, Inc., pursues its mission to motivate and educate students of all nationalities to embrace education and equip them with life skills necessary to become productive citizens.
VISION STATEMENT
Positive Shades of Black, Inc., has a vision to dismantle negative stereotypes of the many ethnic groups making up our society. By finding a common ground, we may move forward together as "One Family." Our multi-cultural staff, family and board of trustees remain focused upon building bridges of understanding over man-made obstacles which separate us by social, economic and racial categories.
ACTION STATEMENT
Through collaborations with school boards, parents, politicians and professional athletes, we hope to attract students and volunteers of all backgrounds to educational and motivational programs serving our youth and aiding our teachers.
Positive Shades of Black has developed and trademarked five community programs that maximize the involvement of celebrities and the efforts of a community coming together.
GOALS
- Create an honorary board of distinguished people endorsing PSB programs.
- Bring together students of various ethnic/social backgrounds.
- Reward students for participating in school programs with monthly prizes.
- Encourage communities to work together to change negative conditions.
- Reward and recognize school teachers for their tireless commitment to kids.
- Prepare high school/college students with useable life skills.
